Wounded Warrior Band Headlines Denver Sloan's Lake Art Festival, Denver
This year the festival partners with the non-profit organization Wounded Warrior Music Program. 
Denver, Colorado, April 4, 2017 - The 4th Annual Denver Sloanís Lake Art and Music Festival is back at Sloanís Lake Park August 12 to 13, 2017 with a weekend showcase of fine arts, live music performances kids activities and delicious foods. The event is located at Sloan's Lake Park,1700 17th St. at Utica, Denver, CO 80212. Admission is free. Hours are Saturday 10am - 7pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm.
This year, the festival partners with the non-profit organization Wounded Warrior Music Program. Their band performs a Motown Rock and Soul Revue. Paula Comptonís soulful vocals reminiscent of Janis Joplin, combined with Jac Mihanovicís bass and keyboard synthesizer prowess, gives a 20-piece band feel. Mihanovicís recording and performance credits include Ray Charles, Steve Vai, Little Richard, Taj Mahal, Robert Fripp, and Tower of Power to name a few. Their hit CD "Boots On The Ground" is #1 on YouTunes and Amazon for Wounded Warrior Music Program. 
The music celebration continues with Denverís own rockiní Band On the Fence, Kelly Triplett and Celtic/Experimental Ponder The Albatross. Clyde Tullis Blues, Doc & Kit Americana Sound, Franny & The Jets and Ceruleus brings on the music for this special festival weekend. Free open seating, guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and small lawn tents to enjoy the show. Music performance times are posted on the festival website.

Browse the park lawns with rows of booths filled with juried art for sale by national and local fine artists. On display are distinctive jewelry designs, painting and mixed media, ceramics, sculpture, photography, wood, leather, hand crafted furniture, and wearable art - a smorgasbord of fine art. Talk with the artists about their process and inspiration and enjoy several tiers of pricing.
Festival admission is free and there is plenty of free parking.
